Private Patients
I offer professional consultations, investigations, and management of a comprehensive range of gastroenterology and general hepatology conditions.
I have admitting rights or practice privileges at Nuffield Health Warwickshire (Leamington Spa) and Circle Health Group The Meriden (Coventry) Hospitals.
Local hospital Covid policy applies.
N.B. A request for transfer to NHS care midway through a care episode may involve a new referral via the standard NHS pathway. This may entail seeing a different NHS consultant, and access to NHS tests or treatment would not normally be sooner.
To Make an Appointment
New patients may request a clinic appointment through online booking, by emailing Warwickshire.Enquiries@nuffieldhealth.com or by contacting my secretary below.
Follow up appointments must be booked directly with my secretary.
Please use the contact form to request an appointment with my secretary and for simple queries. Alternatively, please ring my secretary 01926 436342, or leave a phone message.
Your GP will be informed of the consultations, investigations and management by letter unless you request otherwise.
Private patients with an emergency query about a recent endoscopy procedure should follow the discharge information sheet instructions or ring the private hospital reception/wards.
All contacts will be treated in the strictest confidence. Please note we are unable to divulge or discuss any medical details about a patient to a third party without expressed/ written consent by the patient.

Medical insured patients are advised to check with their insurers about the requirement for a GP referral letter. Open (or insurer directed) referrals relating to certain insurers and funding products are welcomed at both hospitals.
If you need to change or cancel an appointment, we do expect a minimum of 24 hours notice. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for failure to keep an appointment, or for cancellation at short notice.
Consultation fees
The standard fees are £195 for the first consultation (20-25 minutes), and £125 for a follow up consultation (15-20 minutes). Extended consultation may be charged pro rata. The secretaries will be able to confirm this for you at booking.
Patients who self fund outpatient consultations may be requested to pay the full balance on the day of the consultation.
For insured patients, the invoice is sent directly to your insurer for settlement. The patient remains liable for any fees incurred that are not covered in full by their insurance.
Insurer recognition and provider status
My consultation and procedure fee schedule are typically met by the major insurance providers. The consultation fees have not changed since 2013. I adhere to all other major insurers' published procedure tariffs.
In addition to provider recognition, some insurers have incorporated a fee-assured or fee-approved status for their recognised providers' contract.
