Gastroenterologists provide a range of gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy procedures to investigate presenting symptoms such as abdominal pain and a change in bowel pattern. We advise on the management of the symptoms and medical GI conditions. Gastrointestinal endoscopy is a diagnostic as well a treatment modality. The latter complements surgery and interventional radiology e.g. the management of GI tract malignancies, colon polyps and bile duct gallstones.
